Edna Steeves Prize deadline extended

Graduate students who presented at the Yale conference are urged to submit their papers for consideration for the Edna Steeves prize. The deadline has been extended until November 7.


NEASECS 2014 Dues

At the NEASECS 2013 conference at Yale University, the membership voted to approve an increase in membership fees, from $15 to $20 for graduate students and to $25 for other members.


Save the Date

The 2014 NEASECS meeting will be held on Syracuse University campus in Syracuse, NY from September 25-28, 2014.  The theme is "Commemoration, Memory, Posterity."  The meeting will feature two plenary speakers:   Michael Burden (Musicology, Oxford), and Andrew Curran (French, Wesleyan).  A number of cultural events and optional regional excursions are being planned.

A call for papers will be issued in March 2014.
